Laytonsville is a small, rural town located in northern Montgomery County, and only about 25 miles from Washington D.C. This town was formerly known as Cracklintown, taken from a delicious bacon corn bread baked in the area called Cracklin Bread. Some popular attractions here are the Montgomery County Agricultural Park and the Agricultural Reserve. Laytonsville also provides an easy route between the southern and northern parts of the county.
